Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy is a holistic healing art based on the ancient science of Yoga combined with elements of contemporary body-mind psychology. It differs from a yoga class in that it is performed one-on-one, and integrates your emotions with your physical self.

This is not a yoga class – it is a one-on-one guided experience – drawing on the philosophy of yoga – that allows you to get out of your head and into your body. Using guided meditation, gentle stretches, and compassionate dialogue, this experience will allow you to explore the root causes of your stress, tension and anxiety in a safe, non-judgmental environment, and begin to take steps towards growth, change, and healing!

How does it work?

Sensations in your body are often reflective of what is happening in your life. Shoulder tension, neck pain, stiff joints, and more may be signs that you are carrying around unhealthy stress.

“It’s a work-in, not a work-out”

Through gentle, assisted yoga postures, breathing techniques and non-directive dialogue, Heather will guide you to experience the connection of your body and mind, fostering release, personal growth and healing.

Out of your head, into your body…

You may also find that once you are in a relaxed state and connected to your physical body, you feel more free to reflect on your true feelings. Yoga therapy is practiced in a safe, non-judgmental environment, and many people feel safe to speak and be heard.
